A tro-tro driver was heading down a street in Nima, Ghana. He went right past a stop sign without stopping, then he turned left where there was a "No Left Turn" sign and went down the wrong way on a One-Way street. He turned right and went on the left side of the road past 3 policemen standing by their patrol car.
Yet he wasn't busted for traffic violations. Why not?
cos he doesn't have much of what the policemen are interested in... A guy driving a range rover has a better chance of being stopped lol...
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't know why.
I think its his lucky day coz the police men now have the zero tolerance to road offenders and yes as Efua said,if it were a RANGE ROVER??? they gonna give him that hot chase. "the James Bond movie one" :)
ReplyDeletelol ... maybe the policemen had made enough money on the day
ReplyDeleteBy the time he passed by policemen he wasn't committing any offence... the offence had already being committed, behind the policemen.
ReplyDeletelol..I am guessing the police men have been drinking or the car was old so they assumed he cant bribe..Or perhaps the city dont have a punishment for offenders..
ReplyDelete@ Efua Dentaa & Didi. Sounds like a Range Rover in Gh gets the cops' attention as much as a red sportscar in my neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteLucky for the tro-tro driver, he was walking and not driving a Range. :-)
Lani, we know our policemen too well huh? Hahaha
ReplyDeleteNana, the first part of your response was right. He didnt commit any offence because he was walking.
ReplyDeleteDid you miss the Accra traffic during your brief stay in Kwamebikrom? http://freduagyeman.blogspot.com/2011/06/wrapping-up-kwamebikrom-adventure.html
@ Unveilinggold. That's funny. I know what you mean about the policemen drinking though.
ReplyDeleteIn this case, they didnt bust the tro-tro driver because he was walking.
@TAI... lol... did I miss the traffic? Yes. There you go as long as the roads would allow. No honking and shouting and exhaust fumes...
