Tell A Driver

If 2 drivers travel a 100km road non-stop; no police barriers, no speed bumps, no potholes.
Driver 1 floors his gas pedal and does 160 Km/hr
Driver 2 takes it easy and goes a little over the speed limit - 90Km/hr

Would you believe Driver 2 will only get there roughly 35 minutes later?
Those 35 minutes reduce when you start introducing real life factors like curves in the road, potholes, multiple stops.

Tell a commercial driver you know, to ease up on the gas pedal. The lives onboard are more valuable than the few minutes gained.

[Isn't it soooo annoying when you speed up and pass someone on the road then you get caught in traffic and the person not only catches up but also eases riiiiight past you?]

  1. It would be so annoying to be in the scenario you painted about the other person catching up with you in traffic and even passing you. I bet the other driver would have a smirk on his face. LOL. When I'm in a bus or bike and the driver is speeding, I always caution them to slow down. I know fit shout abeg and besides, where dem dey rush go sef.

  2. If only more drivers would keep this in mind. But some would tell you that even those few minutes mean money. SMH.

  5. Better to be safe than sorry...no doubt.
And yes it can be quite annoying to speed and get stuck in traffic with the same car you left behind minutes ago...hehe.

    1. Toinlicious, that annoys me so much that I now think about how far I can get before passing other cars.
